Pillars & Objectives

Pillar: Boost Healthcare Demand
Objectives:
  • Lower barriers to seeking healthcare.
  • Enhance the quality of care.
  • Assess the feasibility of introducing a durable regulatory regime based on administrative controls.
  • Enforce regulatory provisions that stakeholders support.
Pillar: Engage Private Healthcare Providers
Objectives:
  • Utilize soft measures to harness the market through incentives like franchising.
Pillar: Put in Place “Performing” Management Systems
Objectives:
  • Include information systems, aid management, and emergency preparedness and response (EP&R).
Pillar: Restructure the Health Workforce
Objectives:
  • Enhance the production, utilization, and maintenance of health workers.
  • Focus on improving skills rather than just expanding the number of health workers.
  • Strengthen training programs and effective in-service training.
  • Rationalize pay structures for improved retention and equitable distribution.
Pillar: Rationalize the Pharmaceutical Field
Objectives:
  • Introduce feasible regulatory measures.
  • Streamline the fragmented supply chain system.
