ICT Policy Review and E-Commerce Strategy Development for Oman
The National E-commerce Strategy is an initiative arising from the National Program for Enhancing Economic Diversification. The Strategy has been informed by desk research and analysis and interviews with Key Organizations including government agencies, e-commerce merchants, banks and payment provides, telecommunication operators and academics. The Strategy has been guided by UNCTAD's framework for boosting e-commerce with a focus on the key enabling areas: ICT infrastructure and services, transport and logistics, e-procurement, payments, legal and regulatory framework, sills and awareness, and business facilitation.
