Forward-looking vision: Libya 2040

Libya's Vision 2040 aims to reshape the country's future by developing a diversified and sustainable economy and reducing dependence on oil, through developing new sectors such as industry, agriculture, tourism, and supporting entrepreneurship. The vision also seeks to improve the quality of life for all citizens by investing in education and healthcare and promoting social justice and inclusion. In the field of governance, the vision focuses on developing government institutions, enhancing transparency, and combating corruption. In addition, the vision attaches great importance to preserving the environment and sustainability by protecting natural resources and confronting climate change. Taken together, these efforts aim to put Libya on a path to prosperity and inclusive development by 2040, based on updating and expanding the goals of Libya Vision 2025.
