The UAE Vision 2021: United in Ambition and Determination aims to create a strong and safe union where knowledgeable and innovative Emiratis will confidently build a competitive and resilient economy. They will thrive as a cohesive society bonded to its identity, and enjoy the highest standard of living within a nurturing and sustainable environment.

Pillar: United in responsibility: Cohesive society and preserved identity
Objectives:
  • Promote an inclusive environment that integrates all segments of society while preserving the country's unique culture, heritage and traditions and reinforcing social and family cohesion
  • Attain the best rankings on the Human Development Index and promote the wellbeing of citizens so that they feel proud of belonging to the country
  • Increase the country's achievements and medals won in international and Olympic games
Pillar: United in destiny: Safe and fair public judiciary
Objectives:
  • Reinforce citizens’ sense of security and achieve leading positions in the areas of security, emergency preparedness, reliability of police services and road safety
  • Reinforce the importance of a fair and active legal system that guarantees the rights of individuals and businesses, and positions the country's judicial system as one of the most efficient in the world
Pillar: United in knowledge: Competitive knowledge economy
Objectives:
  • Promote the country as an economic, touristic and commercial hub for more than two billion people by transitioning to a knowledge-based economy, promoting innovation, research and development, strengthening the regulatory framework for key sectors, and encouraging high value-added sectors
  • Rank among the best countries in the world in terms of entrepreneurship, which plays a key role in unlocking the potential of nationals and enabling them to be a driving force of national economic development through small and medium enterprises in the private sector
  • Instill an entrepreneurial culture in schools and universities to equip young generations with skills such as leadership, creativity, responsibility and ambition
  • Position the United Arab Emirates among the best countries in the world in terms of per capita income and ensure high levels of national participation in the private sector workforce

Objectives:
  • Improve air quality, preserve water resources, promote the use of clean energy and implement green growth plans
  • Position the United Arab Emirates among the best countries in the world in terms of the quality of airports, ports, road infrastructure and electricity.
  • Strengthen the telecommunications infrastructure to make the country a forerunner in the provision of smart services
Pillar: United in prosperity: World-class healthcare
Objectives:
  • Accreditate all public and private hospitals according to clear national and international quality standards of medical services and staff
  • Reduce cancer and lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases to ensure a long and healthy life for citizens
  • Reduce the prevalence of smoking and increase the healthcare system’s readiness to deal with epidemics and health risks

Objectives:
  • Equip all schools, universities and students with smart systems and devices as a basis for all teaching methods, projects and research
  • Promote enrollment in preschools, which play an important role in shaping children’s personalities and future
  • Enable students to rank among the best in the world in reading, mathematics and science exams, and to have a strong knowledge of the Arabic language
  • Upgrade the level of secondary schools in accordance with international standards, and designate exceptional leadership and internationally accredited teaching staff at all schools
