Water Sector Green Growth National Action Plan 2021-2025

Jordan’s primary national development strategy, Jordan Vision 2025, sets ambitious goals for the country’s socioeconomic progress over the 2015-2025 period. This vision aims for a 7.5% economic growth rate by 2025, alongside significant reductions in poverty and unemployment rates to 8% and 9.17%, respectively. The plan has several pillars, including Enhanced Natural Capital, Sustainable Economic Growth, Social Development & Poverty Reduction, Resource Efficiency, and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation. The objectives of the plan include improving water management, reducing water losses, increasing water supply augmentation, promoting sustainable economic growth, enhancing social development and poverty reduction, improving resource efficiency, and addressing climate change impacts. The plan aims to achieve these objectives through various actions, such as capacity building, infrastructure projects, policy reforms, and financing mechanisms.
